Fashion Meets Music Catwalk Build | Westfield Stratford City

A six-week temporary catwalk and stage built inside Westfield Stratford City.

Steel-deck catwalk and stage build for Fashion Meets Music at Westfield Stratford City, London by Trinity Set & Stage

The Brief

Fashion Meets Music, a non-profit platform spotlighting emerging music and fashion talent, briefed Trinity Set & Stage — an experienced event production company in London — to design and build a temporary catwalk and performance stage inside Westfield Stratford City. The brief called for a mall-grade catwalk and stage capable of surviving a six-week run inside a fully operational shopping centre, working around tight overnight loading windows, strict mall security and a rolling programme of design briefs from different showcasing brands. As a set builder London fashion and retail events regularly turn to, Trinity needed to deliver a structure robust enough for daily footfall and rapid changeovers, while remaining flexible enough to support fashion shows, live music and brand activations under one roof.

Our Approach

As an event production company London brands rely on for demanding retail environments, Trinity Set & Stage engineered the catwalk and stage as a modular system built around the realities of a live shopping centre rather than a conventional venue. Our design and build packages are planned around tight load-in slots, strict security protocols and health and safety compliance, so that whatever goes in on day one still looks crisp after six weeks of continuous use. This same approach to building resilient, reconfigurable structures for high-footfall public spaces runs through our wider portfolio of retail and pop-up builds across London, where similarly public, high-traffic environments demand sets that can withstand constant footfall.
